A North Carolina law that states, in part: “If any man and woman, not being married to each other, shall lewdly and lasciviously associate, bed and cohabit together, they shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor” was declared unconstitutional by a state judge today.
Phew. Now Amy and I can finally move to Raleigh and associate lewdly and lasciviously there. We’ve been waiting all this time….
We are, however, still not welcome in Blackjack, MO.

I have no idea where in the world Blackjack, Mo is, but I am indeed very familiar with Alexandria, Kahoka, Wayland, Kirksville, and Canton, Missouri just to name a few of the towns close by. Missouri is literally just minutes from our home. Many Missourians work in our little city. Many, many, of these 'straight' couples are 'living together'. Indeed, many Missourians, because of job availability have actually moved to our town. There's also a great deal of incest, but that's another topic. I really don't think you and Amy would like it there unless you promise you would not absolutely cringe at hearing the pronunciation of words like: veeHicle(vehicle), or INsurance (with the emphasis on the 'IN'), or sentences like "What was you wantin' ta do?" The word 'saw' only seems to be used when referring to an actual saw (the tool). SEEN is the only word to use when you wish to either use saw or seen. Then, 'R's are thrown in to words like wash (warsh), oil (orl), and let's not forget the street my office is on...WaRshington.... The accents don't really sound southern, but more like they are talking on a CB radio. Iowans are always telling Missouri jokes. One in particular comes to mind. The first day we moved here, we went to the AAA Insurance Office (or should I say iNsurance) office. One clerk was from Iowa, the other lived in Missouri. The Iowan asked me if I knew why birds fly upside down over Missouri. Of course my reply was, "No." The Iowan, looking at the woman from Missouri announced, 'Cuz there ain't nothin' there worth shittin' on. Of course the Missourian stated that the letters in IOWA really mean, "Idiots Out Walking Around." and so it goes..... There are days I just want to run northeast. To find culture one must go to St. Louis which is only about 2 to 3 hours away. So what happened to the people just this short distance away? Never thought I would ever say this, but I miss neighborhoods with real European distinctions. Where are the Italians? The Polish? The Greeks, Chinese, Japanese, etc.? And where are their restaurants? We do have a Chinese restaurant or two as well as a Mexican restaurant. The Mexican restaurant serves really good Mexican food similar to what would be served in Mexico. Of course some people here don't care for the food there because, "It ain't really Mexican, sure don't taste like no taco to me!" No, Major Steel, if you think about coming to Missouri your best bet would definitely be St. Louis.
